I have a loan modification of approximately $885.36 a month. Chase Bank called me the other day saying That I owe over $13,000 because of the increase in taxes and I can't afford more than the $885.36. As a matter of fact I think that the $885.36 is still too high 4 me with the income I have. I work for N.Y. State and I make approximately $2,194.00 take home income and I have a an average amount of money in another account and that is it. How and where can I be put on a program that goes according to my income and also absorbs the costs of my house taxes & the home insurance that goes with the loan? Is there a phone # or e-mail address and name of a person that I can talk to that can help me with this so that I can continue to remain in my home? My home phone # is: 516-354-3293. (evenings)

Sincerely.

I think that the loan modification programs to prevent foreclosure are great. The programs offered to refinance are also great if you are not over half way done paying off the mortgage.
